  • Preparation of HCFC Phase-out Management Plan for Thailand

Thailand is a signatory to the Montreal Protocol. Under this protocol, the country has to phase out all the ozone depleting substances (ODSs) in a time bound manner. Under this plan,Thailand has to prepare a management plan for managing HCFC in the country and develop a strategy for highest level of compliance with the international treaties and guidelines regarding ODS.

  • Evaluation of HPMP stage-1 for compliance with the 2013 and 2015 control targets for Annex-C,Group-I substances in Malaysia

The Government of Malaysia under its HPMP Stage-I strategy aims to phase out 103.16 ODP tonnes of consumption by 2015. To meet this target, the Government has given priority to the PU foam manufacturing sector due to availability of mature, low-GWP technologies. The strategy of the Government is to implement a range of Projects during the period 2013-2015 for meeting the 2013 target of freeze and 2015 target of 10% reduction from the baseline.

  •  Reporting of HPMP project verification of Fiji

The HPMP FIJI comprises a combination of the following interventions: technical assistance for adoption of HCFC free alternatives and minimizing HCFC consumption in servicing of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment; training for service technicians and customs / enforcement officers; awareness; communications and management;and coordination and monitoring in various HCFC consuming applications. The objective of the assignment was to develop a verification report that will verify that HCFC consumption for the year 2013 has been achieved.

  • Verification for the Completion of HPMP Project Implementation at Beneficiary Enterprises of Indonesia

Eight manufacturing enterprises have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for implementation of projects to ensure complete phase-out of HCFCs by 31 December 2014 under the HPMP Indonesia.  The objective of the assignment was to verify and confirm the completion of these projects. 

  • Study for NAMA project for the RAC and Foam sectors by preparing an inventory of consumption and emission of F-gases (CFC, HCFC, HFC etc.) in Mexico

The project involved preparation of an Inventory on Consumption and Emission of F-gases and preparation of a ‘NAMA Project’ for F-gases in Mexico. The emission Inventory developed under the project activity was the basis for establishing the baseline and a trajectory of relevant sector emission against which the emission reductions options are to be measured.

Development of a sustainable model for the Private-Public Partnership for the project to gain access to carbon market co-financing

  • ODS Disposal Pilot Project in Nigeria

The project aimed at the safe disposal of ODS recovered from process chillers in oil installations and from chillers in Nigeria including quantification of the greenhouse gas (GHG)reductions in carbon dioxide equivalents, associated with ODS Disposal.

  • Disposal of ODS collected from Refrigerators and Air-Conditioners under the Mexico Energy Efficiency Appliance Program

The project aimed at the safe disposal of ODS recovered from residential refrigerators and air conditioners in Mexico, which will be collected as part of an energy efficiency program in Mexico. The project includes quantification of the greenhouse gas (GHG)reductions associated with destruction of ODS under the appliances take-backproject and designing a disposal scheme for collected ODS.

  • Conceptualization of capture and destruction of HFC 23 at refrigerant (HCFC-22) manufacturing facility of Chemplast Sanmar Ltd and availing carbon benefits for such an activity

The project involve devaluation of various technologies for destruction of HFC-23 including thermal oxidation, plasma pyrolysis etc and project registration under Clean Development Mechanism
