Uttar Pradesh, Mahoba - India, 15th July 2015
Environmental Resources Foundation (ERF) today launched first of its kind solar based lift irrigation project to tap surface water at Kutra village in Mahoba, UP. The project has been inaugurated by Honorable Chief Development Officer Mr. Shivnarayan Lal and attended by various NGOs working for livelihood enhancement and poverty alleviation in Bundelkhand region. The project has commissioned with support of Emergent Ventures India Pvt Ltd (EVI), promoter of ERF and technical partner Saurya Enertech. Some of the prominent NGO’s attending the inauguration was Pradan, Bundelkhand Sewa Sansthan, Vidyadham Samiti.
Under this project, ERF plans to develop physical and intellectual infrastructure for lifting surface water for marginalized farmers in more than 100 such villages under this project. An economical and reliable solution for farmers, the project will not only help diversify and augment agricultural yield but will also create surplus funds for village development.
