Mr. Jatin Kapoor, Head of Business Development at EVI, speaks at the special roundtable on “Activating Institutional Investors for Sustainable Infrastructure Finance in Asia.” The event organized by German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), in cooperation with the World Resources Institute and Global Infrastructure Basel, in Hotel Lalit, New Delhi, featured internationally leading experts. The roundtable was a step towards exchanging the latest tools and instruments to make sustainability a business case for investors and corporates.
Mr. Kapoor represented Emergent Ventures India (EVI) as a panelist in the session on “The business case of sustainable infrastructure finance”. He shared his views on Green bonds as a financial instrument to promote sustainable infrastructure. He presented successful case studies on green infrastructure bonds in India.
EVI has been campaigning for Green Bonds since 2013 as a key instrument to finance/re-finance clean energy projects in India. EVI is also an accredited Verifiers of Green Bonds, under the Climate Bonds Standards.
